Ingredients

  • Substances to scrub turkey:
  • 2lbs lower up turkey (drumsticks and wings)
  • 1 tablespoons of salt
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 lime lower in half (reserve juice of ½, don’t discard lime halves).
  • Substances to Marinate and cook dinner:
  • Cleaned turkey
  • Lime juice (reserved from ½ a lime)
  • 1/3 cup Epis
  • 1 Bouillon dice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 sprigs Thyme
  • 1 Sizzling pepper

Directions

  1. Directions to scrub turkey:
    – In a small pot deliver 3 cups of water to a boil, reserve
    – Pour vinegar over turkey adopted by salt and juice of 1 lime half and blend.
    – Reduce off and discard extra pores and skin that has little feathers on them.
    – Pour boiling water over turkey and permit it to take a seat for roughly 1 minute
    – discard water then rinse turkey with chilly water*
  2. Directions to cook dinner turkey
    – In a small bowl pour lime juice,epis, salt, onion, garlic, clove powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper over turkey and blend completely to correctly distribute spices and marinade on meat.
    – Add meat to a medium sized pot on low to medium warmth together with bouillon dice, a ½ cup of water (rinse out bowl meat was marinating in), thyme, sizzling pepper and cook dinner for 20 minutes.
    – Take away meat from liquid (set liquid apart to make gravy).
    – Add oil to pot, when sizzling add turkey and fry for about 3-5 minutes or to your required darkness.
    – Serve with fried plantains and pikliz
