Easy-Made Haitian Peanut Butter (Manba)
The Haitian Manba (Haitian Peanut Butter) is on the most popular condiment you will find in Haiti. The Haitian peanut butter is very similar to American and other peanut butter at one difference: the spicy part that gives it a particular taste.
For its preparation, the peanuts are peeled, roasted, and finally ground manually or with electrical grinder .
Here we will share with you the simplest way to make Haitian Manba (Haitian Peanut Butter), at home without a grinder, just using your blender
Ingredients
- 4 cups of Unsalted Dry Roasted Peanuts
- 1 Scotch Bonnet Pepper (Seeded and Minced)
- 1 Tbs Sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Method
Step 1
Add all ingredient in blender and puree on high for 5 min.
Step 2
Stop blender to push all the nuts down.
Step 3
Continue to blend for 5 – 10 min until desired consistency.
Step 4
Transfer the peanut butter to a small jar and store in cool dry area.
Eat your manba with anything you want to. Some people even eat it with rice.
